We have eight titles this year: Available now are Canada's Rodeos & Stampedes 2024, Work Horse Pioneers 2024, Petroleum Pioneers 2024, Oil Sands Pioneers 2024, Alberta's Agriculture Pioneers 2024, Ranches and Cowboys 2024, and Evolution of Land Reclamation in Alberta 2024. Available in late October are Edmonton's Early Pioneers 2024, and early November Saskatchewan's Prairie Pioneers 2024!

As you can see from our titles, our showcases cover a number of the key industries and histories of our province. Our showcases detail the history of oil and gas discovery, mining, and refining in Alberta, and they celebrate the men and women who helped to build the industry. We are also proud to honour Alberta’s long history with horses, including their roles in construction, farming, ranching, and entertainment. Our two most recent releases about Edmonton’s pioneers and Alberta’s agriculture industry have been many years in the making, and we are pleased to debut them this year! Our history showcases are educational works of art, and we are thrilled to commemorate the achievements of the prairie provinces with these calendars.

Framed Historical Showcases

Also have a wide range of framed historical showcases, featuring curated photographs from a variety of archives across the Province of Alberta.

Topics include petroleum and oilsands pioneering, especially momentous events such as first oil strikes, blown and gushing wells, and new technologies. Other topics include agriculture, ranches and rodeos, early road building, and the 1912 first Calgary Stampede. Many within each series are available with short historical write ups and several photos in the same framed showcase.

These can also be personalized to showcase a family's history, land, business, or particular historical event within your industry!
